What is Chiropractic?
Â
Chiropractic is a regulated healthcare profession focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders affecting the spine, nervous system, and musculoskeletal system. Physical, emotional, and chemical stresses can impact the nervous system's ability to function effectively. This may affect the performance of muscles, joints, nerves, and organs, while also influencing the body's natural ability to regulate, adapt, and heal itself.
Chiropractors assess and address spinal dysfunction to support nervous system function and overall health.
In Australia, Chiropractors are University-educated, nationally registered healthcare professionals who provide evidence-based, patient-centred care. Treatment is tailored to each individual's needs through shared decision-making and informed consent. For infants and children, Chiropractors use gentle, low-force techniques adapted to the patient's age and condition.

Not all techniques are utilised on every patient, nor are they utilised every appointment. History and assessment helps to determine which would be most appropriate and with consent will be utilised.
